It’s been so long since I wrote my last blog – November 2009. So, here is the first one of the Year 2010 :)
Life is changing – Is it???? I guess not for me for now… Since joining Sapient, one thing that has not changed is my struggle to spend 9 hours in office. Every day brings the same challenge – What should I do today to pass my time in office :D. All the excitement of new company / new project is gone. The ground reality of the project is hitting hard now. A team of nearly 200 people with me placed in one tiny corner of doing asked to study and go through the tool which I don’t understand even a bit. Daily I wait eagerly for the clock to tick past 5:30 so that I can go back.
With me shifting to Noida a few days back, travelling time has increased a bit – which means I can sleep for around 1 hour in the morning and 1.5 hrs in the evening in the bus ;). With that, utilization of iPod has reached at nearly 2.5 hrs daily (nearly 10% of the day :P)
A new thing which is keeping me busy these days is Facebook. I created my facebook account in HCL just to test a mobile application to click photos from the cellphone and upload them to facebook to verify whether these are being uploaded correctly. Till February, I never logged in to facebook. With orkut blocked in the Sapient and me so idle and bored, I started using it to kill some time. And now, it is eating majority of my time not only in office but also when I am back at room with Farm Ville, Cafe ville contributing the major chunk :P
So, what next - Till when my schedule will keep on going like this, what will be my next step - let’s wait for some more time ;)

Life is Changing - Continued...
World is Changing.. isn’t it.. Till yesterday, I had not heard Microsoft's ad's on FM. Ads on radio mainly constituted colgate, lux or Sugar factories :P.. and now.. FMs has got one of the software giants as their client and are advertising MS Visual Studio 2010 just like any other daily use products.. Technology every where u see.. :D
Well, World around me is changing as well. Finally, I have joined Sapient on 9th November. Before joining, We had vacated our C-130 Sector 52 :P. With that, finally I left noida as well.. and… shifted to New Delhi… for now ;)
Well, Somehow I was able to finish all the important tasks in time which I mentioned in my last blog. I just had to collect my documents I needed to submit on the first day. That too was delegated to Mohit :P, I collected these
from him on sunday evening only - an hour before coming to Delhi :P
Days in Sapient are smooth - with some minor changes in my daily schedule, I am trying to cop up with the new work schedule ;).. The office starts at 8:30 and ends at 5:30. Conveyance medium has changed from bike to office cab from now. Cab comes at 7:45 in the morning. To catch the cab, I have to wake up at 5:40 :D... At least my parents would be happy knowing this :P..
To catch up with the missed sleep I don’t miss even a single chance of however short
duration it may be. By now, I have become famous among our "New Joinees Batch" for sleeping at Sapient. There have been a very few sessions where I have not taken a nap or two in this Induction program :D.. Sitting on the last seat, hiding from the eyes of the trainer - just reminded me of my college time :D
Scene at cab is no more different - Just one exception - Apart from sleeping, I read novels - about to finish 1st of those tomorrow :P though most of the time I sleep their as well :D
Tomorrow is the last day of the induction. Then from monday - a new week, a new schedule, hopefully a new project... Life is certainly changing :)

The world is changing...
Well, a nice time to strat writing the blogs. Me, being the most idle person these days, am looking for ways to pass my time at the office till 6:30 in the evening :P. So, Writing blogs seems to be a good option.
I am so free since I have resigned from my office and serving a notice period. So, finally after 4 years 1 moth and 23 days in HCL, I put in my papers at HCL on 9th of this month ;). I m hoping to get released by end of the month so that I could get atleast 1 week for myself before joining sapient. What I'll do in that one week is something I haven't decided yet. More on that later..
Days are so long like they were never before. My coming or not coming to office is irrelavent. Still I come to office to meet some collegues, play Table tennis and and and... thats it! Nothing else I do :P. Ohhh yes, one important task which I do daily is to talk to my manager / HR to move forward the resignation process. See every one else is too busy to look in to this small task and take out their precious time to just click on some links to forward my resignation to next level. Finally after 18 days of putting my resignation and 3 days before my last day here, I managed to get the approval of manager and HR on it! Lucky me!! :)
So, How I am spending this GOLDEN PERIOD - as many of my frendz say!
Well, some said me to study as hard as possible, enhance my skills so that I can do better in new organization or clear some more interviews to get some good brand name, others asked me to enjoy this time as much as possible, as I have a job in hand (Secure as they say).
I did nothing of these two and spent my time in sleeping, on phone (already made two intermediary payments as my bill reached the maximum credit limit :P). The poor bean bag which vs already in bad shape has become worse now :P. My bike vs lucky these days that its meter reading didnt increased much in this time though. Activities at office are more restricted to waiting for my manager / HR to get free, reading newspaper(online :P), playing sudoku, checking out my mails and reading HCL policies (strange - reading these when I am leaving :D ). TT room is the place where I am seen most of my time till yesterday. I broke my TT bat yesterday so no more table tennis for now (though While writing this blog i repaired my bat with Rs 15 investment on fevicol and feviquick :P. Hopefully, I'll get enough time to play in these last 3 days in HCL).
More recently I read blogs from a couple of my friends, that gave me this idea of writing blogs to pass out my time. Hopefully i'd keep on writing a few more in future as well.
Now when time is ending up, some most important tasks are coming to my mind which i should have done in this time. Man! why such thoughts come to mind only at the end only!! :P May be, I'll wind up everything within these three days :P
Any ways, Its 6:16 already. Everyone getting up from their seats to go back home, and looking at me with a staring glance silently asking - we have never seen u so late in the office, all well??? :P So, today's day is ending up now, and so is my first blog :P. Hope, I'd learn how to write the blog in more effective and better way :)
